Sales

Sales Executive, Communications Vertical

Description: ASC is looking for a seasoned Sales Executive to lead the development of sales in the Communications (Carriers, Resellers, ISPs, Wireless Service Providers, Cablecos) vertical throughout North America and manage the sales requirements for the organization.

The position requires a professional sales executive who possesses the personality and intellectual capacity to manage the strategic complexity required to position the organization for significant growth over the next five years.

Reporting directly to Shawn King, President and Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will also work closely with the Sales Executive in Financial Services and other partners in the Communications vertical.

The successful candidate will have an intuitive ability to
  • Identify and understand the challenges and problems of existing and potential new customers for which ASC solutions work or could be adapted
  • Identify potential business partners with whom ASC could leverage synergies
  • Understand people and their needs
  • A strong sense of urgency, maturity and the ability to mentor and influence others
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop ASC's Sales Strategy and prospecting action plan, lead and participate in Account planning sessions for the Communications vertical, and partner with the Sales Executive in Financial Services vertical
  • Adhere to proven consultative sales methodology, where all leads and opportunities are measured and tracked, and constructive weekly coaching is provided
  • Promote, develop and foster a cohesive conceptual approach to sales throughout the organization including development of intellectual capital
  • Understand and maintain information on the competitive landscape and marketplace
  • Work with the management team and leverage firm resources to identify and target markets and prioritize clients and partners
  • Address issues/concerns regarding solution offerings and assist in fee negotiations to successfully bring deals to closure
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
  • Proven business acumen and track record selling multi-year software applications/solutions or managed services
  • Minimum 5 years proven success in business to business solution selling
  • Progressive career experience in developing new business opportunities and revenues
  • Track record of success identifying and cultivating relationships with prospective clients, with emphasis on building relationships and selling solutions to C.E.O.'s C.O.O.'s and C.I.O's and other members of the "C-suite".
  • Significant experience leading business-to-business marketing and/or sales of services and/or solutions in sophisticated sales corporations or professional services firms
  • Demonstrated ability to establish contacts, build relationships and provide valuable consultative support to clients and partner organizations, and to develop trusting client relationships which lead to repeat and referral business
  • Proven ability to identify, work with and establish connections and interdependencies between a sales organization and its clients
  • Credibility, results-orientation, independence and maturity required to successfully contribute within a team of successful, proven professionals
  • Exceptional leadership skills, make decisions and take actions readily and provide clear direction and counsel to account/pursuit teams
  • Strong financial and business analysis skills
  • Demonstrated network and relationships with major Communications organizations

Software Developers

Description: The ASC Contracts™ development group is looking for Software Developers to join the team. ASC Contracts™ is a J2EE Contract Life Cycle management application. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing new features and customizations for the product. The work will include the writing of functional analysis documents, implementation and unit testing. You should be an individual who enjoys working with the latest web technologies and who thrives in the dynamic environment of a small company.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 - 7 years of Java development;
  • Experience working with J2EE application servers (Apache/Tomcat, Websphere, BEA);
  • Experience with web technologies including HTTP, HTML, XML, XSLT, SOAP;
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL is an asset;
  • Familiarity with web application development environments (Netbeans, Eclipse) is a plus;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent area of study.

Application Software Developers

Description: The ASC Contracts™ development group is looking for Application Software Developers to join the team. ASC Contracts™ is a J2EE Contract Life Cycle management application. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing new applications of the product. The work will include the gathering of requirements and implementation. You should be an individual who enjoys working with the latest web technologies and who thrives in the dynamic environment of a small company.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of web technologies in particular HTTP, HTML, XML and XSLT;
  • Knowledge of Java;
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL is an asset;
  • Familiarity with web application development environments (Netbeans, Eclipse) is a plus;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • College or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent area of study.
Support and QA

Senior System Administrator

Description: ASC looking for a senior system administrator (SAGE level III-IV) to join our mature profitable world leading Contract Management Software company. The ideal candidate will join the system administration team to take on the administration of Linux systems, Windows systems, hardware and operating system installation, network, security and application configuration. The Systems include both hosted operational systems serving online customers as well as internal systems that support general administration, product development, support and client services. Reporting to the Manager of Operations and Support, the candidate will provide leadership in planning, communicating and rolling out changes in critical revenue generating production environments. The work will include:

  • Maintaining hardware and software;
  • Analyzing problems and monitoring systems and network to ensure availability, performance and capacity meet requirements.
  • Ensure maintenance and security of network design, account management, E-mail infrastructure and system backups.
  • Integration of products with the operating system and its software.
  • Provide day-to-day support for staff and after hours third level support for escalated issues from customers or management.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 5 years of experience with RPM-based Linux in an administration role;
  • Strong communicator to internal departments: notification, timely project status updates, team player, document procedures, team reviews
  • Good analytical and problem solving abilities;
  • Proficiency with all aspects of Linux system administration;
  • Familiarity with fundamental networking;
  • Shell Scripting;
  • Experience in administering Oracle and Windows Server;
  • Understanding of Java, XML, XSL, HTML and Javascript;
  • Familiarity with web applications, Tomcat, Apache, and LDAP;
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in computer science or engineering discipline.

Intermediate Support Specialist

Description: The ASC Contracts™ Support and Verification group is looking for an intermediate support specialist to join our mature profitable world leading Contract Management Software company. Reporting to the Manager of Operations and Support, the ideal candidate will take on the responsibility of supporting ASC products and hosted solutions to achieve the following:

  • Provide Level I to III support for customer solutions within SLA requirements;
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and aid in the resolution of customer issues;
  • Participate in the coordination and administration of release management activities;
  • Work closely with development, verification and systems management teams;
  • Ensure smooth delivery of ASC solution upgrades;
  • Monitoring of support tickets, application and system messages from production systems;
  • Accurately identify, reproduce and document defects and customer requests for enhancements;
  • The candidate will also be expected to participate in some verification and development activities.
Requirements:
  • At least two years of experience in a support or equivalent role;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good analytical and problem solving abilities;
  • Scripting skills (UNIX, perl);
  • Understanding of Java, C/C++ Web applications;
  • Familiarity with Tomcat, Apache, Oracle, LDAP, XML, XSL, HTML and Javascript;
  • Bachelors or college degree in information technology.
